Missions and Ministry
The Pentecostals believe in reaching out to those who are in need, whether they are our closest neighbors or from the furthest continent. We actively provide financial support to various missionaries, and take part in missions trips both locally and abroad. There are opportunities for everyone at POK to be involved.
We use Acts 1:8 as our framework for missions. Jesus said, “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We apply this in our effort to minister to our world by engaging in and supporting missions in Kentwood (our Jerusalem), Michigan (our Judea), North America (our Samaria) and Globally (ends of the earth).
Michigan Missions
Through monthly financial support to our North American Missions department and prayer, we support Church planters all over the beautiful state of Michigan.
North American Missions
Metro Missionaries are church planters who specifically target largely populated areas within North America. We are thankful to financially and prayerfully support North American missionaries.
Global Missions
In places we may never be able to reach physically, men and women have taken on the call and duty to share the love and message of Christ around the globe. The Pentecostals support missionaries both with our monetary and prayer support.
